Clary Sage Pure Essential Oil

Botanical name: Salvia sclarea
Country of Origin: Bulgaria
Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation
Aroma Profile: A colourless to pale-yellow or pale-olive coloured liquid with a fresh, sweet, fruity, floral and herbaceous aroma.
Uses: Clary sage is well known for its euphoric action. It is beneficial for alleviating anxiety, stress and nervous tension. It is uplifting, euphoric and harmonising. It is beneficial for people who are always on the go and need to feel balanced and calm.
Subtle: Clary sage strengthens the ability to dream and assists in the development of the intuitive mind.
Chakra: Third eye chakra
Skin care: It is recommended for oily skin as it reduces excessive sebum production.

Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant and non- sensitising. It was previously recommended to be contraindication during pregnancy; however, there is no scientific evidence for this.

The typical chemical composition of clary sage oil is linalool, (10-20%), linalyl acetate (60-70%), caryophyllene (1.5-2.5%),  a-terpineol (0.5-2.5%), geraniol (trace-1.5%), neryl acetate (0.3-1.0), sclareol (0.5-2.0%), germacrene D (3.0-5.0%).

Add 5-7 drops to your Perfect Potion diffuser, or add 5 drops to every 10ml of pure vegetable oil to use as a massage oil.
